The S’More

This might just be the most indulgent sandwich I’ve made yet. It’s National S’More day didn’t you know so there’s no better time to break down the savoury conventions of the sandwich and introduce you to this velvety, oozing, naughty sensation. We live in a health crazed world these days but leave your inhibitions at the door with this one and spoil yourself to such heavenly ingredients that have been put on this earth for the very reason that we should enjoy them. Do it, you know you want to.

The s’more stands for ‘some more’ for which the reason isn’t clear but I’m guessing it’s based on the concept that this isn’t just the standard marshmallow toasted on the fire. No. It’s MORE! It’s toasted marshmallow mushed in between two chocolate digestives. And in this rendition I’ve replaced biscuits for bread – you can thank me later.


2 slices of white bread
3 tbsp of Nutella
100g marshmallows
1tbsp butter


1.       Spread 1 side of both slices of bread with the butter.
2.       Pile the marshmallows on the un-buttered side of one of the slices of bread.
3.       Spread the Nutella on the un-buttered side of the other slice of bread. Sandwich the two slices of bread together.
4.       Heat a large frying pan and add the sandwich, frying for 1-2 mins on each side. Remove and enjoy!
